Imagination has meant that we can be afraid of things that aren't even there

Our most difficult task is differentiating between what we imagine to be true and what is actually true

We never see complete pictures. We see parts of pictures - the emotionally relevant pieces. So boring old reality sometimes isn't seen at all. Whereas emotion generated imagination grabs centre stage

It is much easier for us to ignore reality than to ignore what we have imagined

This is because imagination is driven by emotion. It is painted in the most vivid colours. Whereas reality is generally quite dull

So many of our struggles are battles in our imagination - imagined foes confronted by imagined friends.
